The Land of Green Ginger Objectives
To share common goals and work towards each project as a unified group
To learn and practice the art of effective communication
To value our unique contribution to the community, our Shire and the world and to value, support and nourish that contribution in others

Environmental objectives
To create a model of communal living that is carbon positive
Become a model of good practice within our Shire / state
Live in harmony with and minimise our impact upon Mother Earth
Always consider our environmental footprint in all pursuits
Provide sanctuary for fauna through flora revegetation and regeneration
Protect and enhance the land through improving biodiversity and ecosystem functioning
Educational Objectives
Community Objectives
Sharing of knowledge and experience within the community and beyond
Providing a space for other community groups to share their knowledge
Hands on learning through practical experience on the property
To provide education on topics such as the environment, sustainability, spirituality, life skills, social justice etc to the wider community
Economic Objectives
To derive an income from the Land of Green Ginger, and thus decrease the hours required to work elsewhere, this would create greater freedom for individuals to focus on development of the community and pursuits of personal interest. This in turn would greatly benefit and enhance the community and also ones quality of life.
Possible sources of income : Carbon credits, Workshop space for hire, Conference Centre, Tours – farm stays / school groups , Farm gate sales, Bush tender
Spiritual Objectives
To contribute positively to the raising of the global consciousness
To reconnect with and honour the earth and all that walk upon her
To live a conscious life
To continue to expand our consciousness through spiritual awareness and practice
To remain open hearted and trusting in the universal process

The Land of Green Ginger Timeline
1. Start a blog for LOGG
2. Contact Adrian and let him know of our intentions to visit again, possibly with other
interested parties
3. Speak with the interested parties:
Fran, Anne, Sam, Dan, Terry, Cecilie, Lucas, Sandy
4. Post on HRN blog for a call of interest in LOGG project.
5. Need to filter who is accepted in LOGG, once we know all interested parties.
6. Elaborate on goals and produce a LOGG vision with selected parties.
7. Arrange a meeting with:
- Ian Lillington
- Russell in Creswick
- David and Sue LOGG and Fryers Forest Visit.
- Visit Fryers Forest.
- Rod May/Seb, to get shires opinion and suitable planning contact.
- Tony Gill
- Murray Ralph visit
8. Define: Tenants in Common/Co-operative arrangement/strata title. Meetings above should help us do this.
9. Discuss legal instruments for LOGG with the group and gather a consensus on structure.
10. Speak with council regarding planning schemes and start to build honest relationship.
11. Mel needs to see how much money she can get, and Ivan, after settlement of my house.
12. Investigate FHOG for Mel and others.
13. Search for suitable properties, if not proceeding with Adrian’s
14. Investigate costs to connect power to other dwelling/sheds/hamlets.
15. Work out terms and conditions for purchase of suitable property.
16. Engage mortgage broker and conveyancor.
17. Investigate all charges, such as Stamp Duty, Land title, title transfer, legal fees, bank fees.
